About Us
Welcome !
Woodland Park UMC is now in it's seceond 100 years of service to God. Many members, pastors, and staff have worshiped and served God over the years at Woodland Park UMC. The quality our church has always seemed to have is it's friendly, welcoming nature. Sometime between 1919 and 1924, under the leadership of Reverend Raymond Rees, the flyer / card below was probably used to spread word of our church's presence in the community.
The foresight of the early members of our church proved to be true. By opening our doors and welcoming all who entered, with a smile, our church community grew. The truth of that cute poem is caught in our former Pastor's, Karen Dammann, statement in our church directory:

"When people visit our church on Sunday mornings, they invariably say the same thing to me as they leave. They always tell me that the people of this congregation are so friendly and warm."

Today, our place of worship has changed, but we are still the same friendly, welcoming congregation whose doors are always open to any who wish to enter.

Accessibility Our sanctuary, fellowship hall and church offices on the main level are fully accessible to all from Greenwood Ave. Our classrooms on the lower level are fully accessible from our parking lot immediately east of the church.

Our Staff
Senior Pastor - Nancy Yount         

Nancy Yount received her Masters of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley and has served churches in California, Idaho, and Washington. Choir Director - Susan Senft

Susan Seft has blessed our congregation with a beautiful voice and wonderful leadership as our choir director. Each year our choir is improving under her excellent guidance. Susan is also the directior of the Pacifica Children's Chorus. Susan is always looking for new voices for our church choir (no previous experience is required).
Church Organist - Tom Hecker
Church Secretary - Forest Gamble

Forest is the secretary for Woodland Park United Methodist Church. He staffs the church office Monday through Friday, 12 Noon to 4 PM. In addition to his clerical roles he oversees the work of volunteer office staff from the congregation.
