On behalf of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Committee on Relief brings relief when a catastrophe strikes. UMCOR rushes to disaster areas all over the world with aid and - along with food, clothing, shelter and medical help - stays to assist survivors rebuild lives. From re-educating soldiers to feeding school children to establishing medical clinics in remote villages, UMCOR is hope for millions in nearly 100 of the poorest countries in the world.
Most contributions to UMCOR are designated 100% for specific programs. This is made possible because part of the One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) offering, scheduled for March 6th, plus a small percentage of other general donations, fully underwrite UMCOR’s administrative costs. Part of OGHS is used also for immediate response to a disaster as well as for supplementing under-funded UMCOR Advance Specials. Please give generously and send the offering, clearly marked for OGHS, through the Conference Treasurer for proper credit. Free OGHS promotional resources are available from United Methodist Communications at 1-888-346-3862 or on the web at: http://gbgm-umc.org/umcor/oghs.stm Questions?
